Activities
The island has few luxury amenities but many activities such as: canoeing or kayaking ("big lake" or inland lakes), biking, fishing (the inland lakes are said to have good bass & blue gill, the big lake has salmon), hiking, swimming in the cold water of Lake Huron, catching a tan, relaxing or watching freighters, sailboats and yachts drift by. There are bonfires on the beach at night, golfing on the main-land by day... the list goes on and on. For those of you who love photography, there are good opportunities for a great shot. The island is a naturalist's haven with rare and endangered species. There's one combined general store and restaurant and if you seek local color there is a tavern.
